The holdings include archaeological, cultural and historical and ethnographic holdings were collected exclusively on the basis of donations by the villagers. Members of the cultural and artistic society "Sandor Petofi" successfully maintained the collection and the rooms until 1991.
The collection was located in the territory that was occupied from 1991 to June 1997, and professional staff and the service for the protection of monuments were denied access to it.

Protection:

The collection remained unprotected on the occupied territory because it was not possible to evacuate the holdings.
The list of holdings and donators, the photographic documentation and a publication dealing with the collection from 1984 have been preserved in the cultural and artistic society.
Information concerning the museum during occupation:
* There is no information concerning the state of the collection during occupation.

Structure damage:

Damage to the museum holdings has been determined only after the liberation of the territory at the end of 1997. In August of 1993 there was a break-in and 11 Roman coins were stolen from the case with archaeological items. The theft was reported to the occupation forces, but there is no copy of the report.
